Running ver 6.0.1 . i get this message every time i boot the phone as of last night. android is starting... optimizing app 1 of 1 . this goes on for quite a while - i would say somewhere in the area of 15 minutes.. I recently update my zenfone 2 from android l (ww-2.20.40.198) to android mm (ww-4.21.40.144).i now receive the 'android is starting optimising app 1 of 1' every time i boot. and i did factory reset before and after upgrading to android m, i also did wipe cache partition but no help.. Initially, android users did not have this problem, but once version 5.0 lollipop started rolling out, a lot of them started seeing the android optimizing apps message after a reboot. specifically, what they got was “ android is starting. optimizing app 1 of x,” with x being the total number of apps they had..
Every time i reboot my lg g4 i get the android is starting. optimizing app 1 of 1... and takes about 15 minutes to finish each time. i've tried booting into recovery mode to wipe the partition cache, but the phone won't seem to boot into recovery mode by holding the power button and volume down buttons on boot. it ignores it.. Because only those 86 apps aren't fully compatible with art (on the turbo). when you first switch to art the full 200-some-odd apps are optimized. it's the apps that won't work with art that optimize every time you reboot. i agree with the comment that art doesn't seem to present any issues once booted..
